Ad Age has compiled a top ten list of best Ad Songs of the year. The top pick was Saul Williams' 'List of Demands' for the Nike Commercial which you can see below. Am I easily won over by heavily hyped advances in stylistic achievement related to gadgets? Yes. Do I want one of these quite badly? Yes. Anyway, the song is charming. Okay, okay, so Apple knows good music. Consistently they seem to feature new, pretty cool artists in the adds for their new, pretty cool products. Apple also knows how to make good music popular. With the release of the new MacBook Air commercial, featuring New Soul by Yael Naim, a French artist, (it's a pretty cute song) the song has jumped to the number one Top Song on iTunes. The best part of the new Macbook Air ads, besides the demonstration of how easily the new laptop can slip in and out of an inter-office envelope, is the song. Thanks to a friend on Pownce , mystery solved. The artist is Israeli-born, Paris-bred Yael Namin and the song is titled "New Soul." Watch the video below, if you like Feist, Sia or Norah Jones, you'll dig this:
