Wild Nothing is a bedroom-indie-dream-pop band, created by Jack Tatum, which released its second album Nocturne in August 2012. This follows their debut LP Gemini which will always remain as one of our best albums to listen to at the beach, in the sun. Wild Nothing is indie-bedroom maestro Jack Tatum's fresh take on the classic dream pop formula. His debut album, Gemini , was released on the Captured Tracks label in 2010 and was one of my favorite records of the past few years. Earlier this year, Wild Nothing , the shoegaze dreampop project of Jack Tatum, released the " Nowhere " 7" Single, along with its accompanying b-side "Wait," and now he has announced details regarding the follow-up to 2010's Gemini . Wild Nothing have a new record called Nocturne due out later this year, and we have our first glimpse of it, with “Shadow”. The band keeps put their signature wavy indie pop that’s both romantic and arresting. The addictive riffs help move things along quite nicely. On August 28th, Wild Nothing will be releasing its latest album, Nocturne, on Captured tracks. While the band can certainly be lumped in with many others chasing after a dreamy pop rock sound, these guys certainly set themselves apart with their memorable songwriting and distinctive hooks and verses. I'm loving the extra instrumentation on this track, too. The strings are a very nice touch, adding to the usual levels of ecstasy coming off a Wild Nothing track.
