So, obviously with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs having a new album out, "It's Blitz", along come the TV performances. Unfortunately, I missed SNL but I did catch Jimmy Fallon and I have to say...borrrring. Karen O built herself up to be this exciting stage presence wherever her performed and now she just looks bored. Her dance moves don't even resemble what she once was on stage and the only touch of old Karen O I saw was her pulling the microphone cord slickly through her fingers and pulling it across her torso. Yeah Yeah Yeahs' new single had a week of high profile TV appearances: Jools Holland (4/7), SNL (4/11) , and Letterman (4/14). The band switched things up for Jimmy Fallon last night, promoting dancefloor violence with the Gayfish-approved "Heads Will Roll." The tour of late night TV studios undertaken by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs continued last night (April 15) with an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon . The sound at Late Night isn't great, and Karen O's vocals sound a little too loud in the mix, but otherwise it's a fine performance of one of the strongest tracks on It's Blitz .
