Rolling Stone released their Top 100 Singles of 2008 last week. I feel like I lose faith in Rolling Stone a little more each time I read an issue or their website. I was way disappointed that Beyonce grabbed the number one spot with "Single Ladies", but then the image of Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake dancing on SNL came to mind and I felt a little better. I'm not sure if age has anything to do with it or not, but I found my listening preferences gravitating towards the folkier releases this year: Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, The DoDos, and Blitzen Trapper being a few of the artists I held near and dear in 2008.
