We attended BIG Day Out 2010, great bands, but really unorganized venue at Melbourne's Flemington Racecourse, just a bunch of kids trashing the place. To top it off we had a media pass but no photo passes, what the ?? There were a few punters who hacked into the Melbourne Cup horse paddies in the park and let them loose just to be cool.... cough cough.. NOT! If you have't had your coffee yet this morning, you're sure in for some eyebrow raises today for several reasons. First, Andrew W.K. has drank enough coffee for the both of us and has announced the first batch of artists for the Australia and New Zealand's Big Day Out Festival 2011 . Second, hearing Andrew W.K. say the word "antipodal" is hilarious on several levels. The 2011 Big Day Out lineup has been released. LCD Soundsystem return to Australia after what many people thought was their last gig ever at Splendour in the Grass, while dance fans will rejoice seeing PNAU, Bloody Beetroots and Crystal Castles on the lineup.
