The last time we've heard from Grizzly Bear, was 2009's album Veckatimest. If you were sleeping on that album, get yourself caught up. Vackatimest's main single, Two Weeks, was/is soaked in psychedelic harmonies so good, you'd think Brian Wilson lent Grizzly Bear a long lost, forgotten Pet Sounds track. In 2009 Grizzly Bear found themselves among the best of the best on MTIB's list of best albums of the year, at a sweltering #9 with the album Vecktamist . Since... we haven't heard as much as a  peep  from the band. Alas, the date is 06/05/2012 and we are finally greeted with a new track from the Brooklyn-based quartet. Well, well, well...look who's back in town. It's beloved Brooklyn band Grizzly Bear . And with a new album dropping September 18th. Bet you guys think you're sooooo cool, don't ya? After a three-year-long state of inactivity and metabolic depression, left-of-field folkster group Grizzly Bear has shaken the mildew from their haunches and announced the release of their upcoming album. If you are on Twitter you might have noticed Grizzly Bear trending not long ago and basically every music site talking about the band. Why? Grizzly Bear have announced details of their brand new album, as well as a world tour AND a first-listen to the new record in the form of Sleeping Ute . The as-yet-untitled LP will be released on September 17th, with the band set to play a handful of UK dates both before and after this date. Ah, Grizzly Bear , how we have missed you. "Sleeping Ute" is the opening track from the band's follow up to 20092s  Vecktameist , and it is a wild ride through crashing cymbals and intricate guitar playing which leads to a calmer finale. Grizzly Bear are eccentrics, and this leans towards the more experimental side of things, while remaining captivating throughout all the peaks and troughs of its 5 minute playing time.
