Comic book author Alan Moore won't put his name on the Hollywood movies based on his work ( Watchmen , V for Vendetta ), but he will put it on a new audiobook and soundtrack alongside Fog's Andrew Broder, Goldflesh's Justin Broadrick, and the awesome (see shirtless performance above) Mike Patton of Faith No More. According to Billboard , the project will be released in 2010 and titled Unearthing .
I first heard Faith No More's "We Care A Lot" on the well-crafted and underrated Grosse Pointe Blank soundtrack put together by none other than the Clash's Joe Strummer. Say what you want about John Cusack's films, but he knows how to deliver good music ( High Fidelity : Beta Band, 13th Floor Elevators). Billboard reports that Faith No More's Mike Patton is now working on a soundtrack and audio book with Alan Moore, the comic book author behind The Watchmen and V For Vendetta . What a trip.
This one could go either way given their past history, but the news is that Faith No More have confirmed their summer reunion will definitely be taking place. However in a move a) keeping in line with contradictory way of doing things and b) probably because they never really sold many records there the tour won't visit the US, instead concentrating on European festival dates.
