Etienne and Johan AKA Radioclit recently produced the track "Get It Up" with Santogold and M.I.A, it was featured on the smashing Diplo/Santogold "Top Rankin" mixtape that set the internet on fire a couple of weeks ago. They decided to up the ante and brought in former Malawi (now East London) singer Esau Mwamwaya ie "The African Phil Collins" to grace the track with his presence. [Esau with Ezra of Vampire Weekend] Malawi by-way-of London musician Esau Mwamwaya is certainly a name to remember in 2008. Announced via a MySpace blog by Radioclit member Johan, the album that EVERYONE has been waiting for is complete, "hopefully a good lisence deal will be in place very soon and the madness can begin!!" The album features collaborations with Santogold, M.I.A. and Vampire Weekend just to name a few, I can't wait to hear more as the album finds a release. Remember that Malawi-born London-based dude who owns a second-hand furniture shop and recorded a version of 'Paper Planes' in an African language? Well Esau has finished recording an album with producer Radioclit and it looks set to feature Marina Vello (formerly of Bonde Do Role), The Ruby Suns, Ezra from Vampire Weekend and M.I.A. Our buddies RADIOCLIT just sent over this new video montage that shows a bit of what they've been up to.
