There are two possibilities...either Calvin Harris is a genius or he just wanted to see those girls half naked! Purchase his new album Ready for the Weekend . One more time he produced a record with one dancefloor burner next to the other!
Calvin Harris's second studio album titled 'Ready For The Weekend' has recieved a positive and encouraging amount attention since it dropped in late August. Doing a nice job musically and otherwise following up his debut chart topper this album quite similar in style and if anything probably a bit less pop and slightly more electro. Although it still contains a large amount of radio friendly tracks. As with his last album a lot of the hype has been aided by the singles and remixes that come hand in hand. With 'I'm Not Alone' and 'Ready For The Weekend' getting reworked [...]

"Calvin performs a version of his new single Ready For The Weekend on a unique human synthesiser. The instrument employs 15 bikini clad models painted with Bare Conductive, a new skin safe ink which conducts electricity. When the performers touch the connection completes a circuit, triggering a sound. The instrument consists of 34 pads on the floor which have been painted with the conductive ink and connected to a computer via some clever custom electronics. The performers stand on the pads, and touch hands to complete a circuit and trigger a sound. Different combinations of pads trigger the [...]
Calvin Harris creates the world’s FIRST “Humanthesizer.” This is wicked cool. - Albert
Calvin Harris has been working on his sophomore album - Ready for the Weekend - for quite some time now. And quite frankly, it's ticking me off. Dude's I Created Disco was remarkably on point, and thus expectations for the upcoming release are off the charts. Thank goodness August 17th has finally arrived. (See: I'm impatient.) Luckily, Mr. Harris's most recent single - the title track "Ready for the Weekend" - is a tune and a half that's held me over for the past week or so (it dropped on August 8th). Yea, [...]
What is a Humanthesizer, you ask?
Calvin harris - Ready For the Weekend (played on the Humanthesizer) To promote Calvin Harris 's new single, Sony Music creatives Phil Clandillon and Steve Milbourne (who you may remember were responsible for the AC/DC ASCII Excel video last year) decided to use Bare Conductive , a technology developed by RCA Industrial Design and Engineering masters students Bibi Nelson, Becky Pilditch, Isabel Lizardi and Matt Johnson. Bare Conductive is "skin-safe, conductive ink". When painted on the skin, it allows a current to be passed through the body without causing an [...]

Calvin Harris has performed a version of his new single 'Ready for the Weekend' on the Humanthesizer, a unique human synthesizer. The instrument employs 15 bikini clad models and a new electric body ink developed by students at the Royal College of Art, London. The new ink, when painted on the skin, allows a current to be passed through the body without causing an electric shock. The instrument consists of 34 pads on the floor which have been painted with the conductive ink and connected to a computer via some clever custom electronics. The performers stand [...]
Technology is moving in leaps and bounds, and this latest development benefits fans of electronic music and bikini-clad models alike. In this video, electronic musician Calvin Harris paints the hands and feet of fifteen young ladies as well as his own with electrically charged paint, and then organizes their clapping and stomping to produce a perfect rendition of his single "Ready for the Weekend." The first ever "humanthesizer" not only works beautifully, it ain't bad to look at either, seeing as how all of the models are half naked. You're welcome. (via Gizmodo )
Highlights from the youtube comments - "Just saw this video.THIS IS NOT A HUMAN SYNTH YOU COCK!! This is a human controller! This has been around for years!! I could get a mouse to jump around on the pads of my MPC and do the same thing!! You are not ORIGINAL! All your music sounds like cover versions. WHEN WILL THE FAD BE OVER????" - sacipereira "Semi-faked: At the end when [...]
