Can't say I'm a big follower of either Tokyo Police Club or Amplive. But I found this video (via Listening Post ), in which Amplive sort of takes us inside the process of a remix, very intriguing. He remixed the Tokyo Police Club track The Baskervilles . I'd love to see more videos like this, demonstrating the mechanics of what musicians are actually doing. Amplive caught our ear with a Radiohead remix earlier this year, and apparently, also that of the band Tokyo Police Club. Radiohead's representatives initially asked that Amplive stop distributing his In Rainbows remixes, then changed their mind. Tokyo Police Club, on the other hand, actively sought Amplive out and asked him to remix their track "The Baskervilles."
