This morning, Australian psych-rock stalwarts Tame Impala unveiled a new video for "Elephant," the excellent lead single from their upcoming album Lonerism . It's as colorfully psychedelic as one could hope for, featuring live footage from The Silentlights and analog synthesized video by artist Yoshi Sodeoka. While we all await the release of Tame Impala 's new album Lonerism next month, on October 8th/9th, they offer up a drug trip of a video for single "Elephant". Directed by Yoshi Sodeoka the kaleidoscopic video for a song that's grown on me massively in the past month or so with it's chugging bass and psychedelic feel, is a goodie. The visual definitely fits the sound and it's sure to take you on a little journey down the rabbit-hole. Don't do drugs, just watch this video. Definitely not a good thing to watch [...]

Tame Impala have dropped a new video in support of their forthcoming LP, Lonerism , due out October 9th via Modular. With "Elephant" , artist Yoshi Sodeoka answers the question: "What happens when a YouTube video drops LSD?" The end result is an acid-tinged, psychedelic swirl of analog synthesized video. The Silentlights provided Sodeoka with the live footage, and you can stream his warped work below.
