Metric announces new album: Synthetica Photo by Justin Broadbent Canadian indie rockers Metric will return on June 12th with their fifth album,  Synthetica . It will be self-released by the band's new imprint, Metric Music International. According to an issued press release, the band began work on the LP the day after their final performance behind Fantasies . With the band's own Jimmy Shaw serving as producer, recording commenced at Toronto's Grant Studios and concluded at New York's Electric Lady Studios.
