Faces on Film look to give reverb-obsessed folkies a run for their money. When Mike Fiore's Boston-based band Faces on Film released their debut EP back in 2005 they were easy to write off as a poor man's Modest Mouse. Over the last seven years, Fiore has quietly evolved into a dynamic singer/songwriter specializing in haunting pastoral folk. I say "quietly" because, despite supporting gigs for high profile acts like Guided by Voices and the Shins, nobody seems to know who Fiore is. Someone needs to put together...

Watch this exclusive FWBA premiere for Faces on Film ' s new video for Manitoba off the re-release of their album Some Weather via Nice Music Group. The record came out in July featuring Manitoba as an unreleased track. Manitoba moves slowly, with simple arrangements and an easy groove, carried by Fiore's hazed out vocals. It's got a nostalgic quality, captured best by the dreamlike video, moving steadily in slow motion.
