Tennis - Origins (OFFICIAL VIDEO)
WXPN welcomes 2012 favorites Alabama Shakes back to Philadelphia for a show at The Electric Factory.  The roots-rock band, led by Brittany Howard, wowed audiences with their debut record Boys & Girls earlier this year.  Their old-school southern blues is kicked up a notch with Howard's power vocals and stage presence, which makes this a ... Tweet vaso link Tennis is a funny case. There are moments on debut Cape Dory that are quite good, with the rest at least competent. "Origins" is a pretty solid song as well, yet there is a lack of great opinions regarding the band. I haven't listened to the follow up Young and Old in its entirety yet, but I plan to do so shortly. The video for "Origins" is a heavily filtered caper in which many guns are employed while chasing [...]

Tennis is going to be one of the major breakthrough bands of 2012. I'm calling this right now -- but before you dismiss this audacious proclamation let me explain. The husband-wife duo contains all of the same elements that made bands like Cults go viral last year: A sort of Surf-Pop vibe that is appealing for any occasion, an already established name among true Indie heads and the underproduced lo-fi sound that will forever weaken the hearts of hipsters. They've just released their sophomore album Young & Old on Valentines Day, which is already receiving [...]

Yesterday, Tennis released their awaited second album Young & Old and right now, you can watch the new video for “Origins” . Full of grainy, vintage shots, (to our surprise) the video uses all original footage shot by the band’s friend Richard Law. Is it just us, or does watching give some flashback to the 90s Jim Carrey classic, Dumb and Dumber? Very enjoyable. Let’s just say we recommend this record ALOT. Pick it up on Itunes now. Tennis ' second album Young & Old is out this week and to celebrate they've put out a nice video for the track "Origins." The song sounds like a fun 60s beach party with betties, dudes and good clean fun. The video takes that nostalgic, sunny vibe and brings it to the mountains. Shot in a vintage found-footage style, the video features masked gunmen causing mayhem on the slopes.  How's that for summer?  Young & Old is out now on Fat Possum . STREAM: [...]
