Back in April, the flamboyant New York rapper Le1f dropped his debut mixtape Dark York , a 21-song epic with a strange-yet-awesome combination of Major Lazer-esque production and Le1f's weird rap style. A standout from the mixtape was "Wut", which very much embraced the Major Lazer production style, and now the song has some accompanying visuals. All you need to know is that it has Pikachu masks. Today, NYC rapper Le1f -- one of the heroes of the city's LGBTQ rap underground scene recently profiled in the Pitchfork piece "We Invented Swag" (read it!) -- released the video for his excellent new single "Wut," in which he discusses, among other things: gettin' it on; the ubiquity of the word "wut" in the vernacular; and "getting light in my loafers."
