Interpol frontman Paul Banks will be playing Dublin's Academy under the moniker Julian Plenti on Tuesday the 1st of December at 7 p.m. Banks released the album Julian Plenti is Skyscraper last month. The album is a combination of Banks's work with his band as well as more laid-back folky numbers. The show itself promises to be pretty good too. Interpol frontman Paul Banks will play The Academy on December 1st under his Julian Plenti monkier. Banks played this venue, HQ at the time, back in 2001 with Interpol just before they became indie-rock heavyweights. Dummy me didn't realize that Julian Plenti is the name of Interpol frontman Paul Banks' solo project until I read a review of the CD in the new Rolling Stone.
