Next Tuesday (1/24) K'NAAN will unveil his new EP More Beautiful Than Silence to the masses courtesy of A&M Octone. Yesterday we received our first taste of the EP on Complex Mag in the form of the first single, "Nothing To Lose," which features the legendary Nas. The smali rapper also has a new full length in the works and is slated for a Spring 2012 release. More details about the upcoming album are on their way, so check back here for details.

I was heavy heavy into K'naan like two years ago, before his song became the 2010 World Cup anthem. The Somalian/Canadian rapper had a sound all his own at the time and really nothing was quite like him. But as with a lot of music, I lose track of what they have been up too. Well a new track called "Nothing to Lose" featuring Nas started floating around and it got me excited again. K'naan has a new EP coming up soon called More Beautiful Than Silence and "Nothing to Lose" is [...]
With a heartfelt, authentic sound, Somali rapper-singer-guitar player K'NAAN has always been one to make us think for more than a second. Though we haven't heard much from the artist since his addictive "Waving Flag" 2010 FIFA World Cup anthem, he's back today with a single from his exciting new EP More Beautiful Than Silence. You know how fast the blog world can move. I was really into Somali-Canadian rapper/singer K'NAAN & J. Period's The Messenger series, then kind of stopped paying attention. Apparently K'NAAN did the 2010 World Cup anthem, but I can't be troubled by things like Futbol. As far as I'm concerned, K'NAAN is back with 'Nothing To Lose' alongside (my Queensbridge homey) Nas. Check out a lyric video for the track & the tracklist to K'NAAN's upcoming EP More Beautiful Than Silence below: [...]
While everyone's favorite Somali Canadian artist has been relatively quiet the past year, he has been hard at work on his upcoming More Beautiful Than Silence EP. Of course, he did have a nice run from his work with J.Period , as well as that huge World Cup 2010 look, but we have been patiently waiting for that follow-up to the 2009 Troubadour LP from K'naan all along. One of the tracks featured on the EP is the Nas assisted "Nothing To Lose", a perfect balance of hip-hop and pop if you ask [...]

After first collaborating with Nas on his Distant Relatives EP, K'naan and Nas are back at again with "Nothing to Lose." Both artists are known spitting some meaningful lyrics, despite reppin' to different homelands. To help ya'll understand, the video is literally lyrical. Take a look here and be sure to check K'naan when his More Beautiful Than Silence EP is released Jan 24th. K'naan | WEBSITE | FACEBOOK | TWITTER

"Yes he's a Fugee, but he go all Nas on'em." In case you were wondering where K'NAAN's been, he's been working. On January 24th, K'Naan will release a new EP by the name of More Beautiful Than Silence. He kicks it off with this new one, "Nothing To Lose", featuring Nas. The song is part bare-bones narrative before the anthem-ready chorus drops. I'm a big K'Naan fan. This interview I did with K'NAAN in '08 , was one RH's first. via Complex
K'NAAN's been a favorite of mine for a bit now - and it was pretty obvious that he was well on his way to success with the release of his last album Troubador. Once he landed "Wavin' Flag" as the official theme song of the 2010 World Cup, it was a wrap. Since then, he's been quietly working on more material, and our first look at what he's got up his sleeve comes in the form of "Nothing To Lose". He has a little 5-track EP coming out next Tuesday (1/24) titled More Beautiful Than Silence, and this is our [...]

K'NAAN back. It's been a while, but after skyrocketing into the arena of international success with his "Waving Flag" anthem that acted as the official soundtrack to the 2010 World Cup, K'NAAN deserved to sit back and celebrate for a while. Now the Somali rapper is making his return, and he's brought Nas along with him. It seems like a sparse, straight hip-hop cut, but the uplifting chorus picks the song up a notch, and although 'naan (can we call him 'naan?) seems like a peaceful dude despite the violence he's seen, he sounds a [...]
K'naan has been relatively quiet since releasing Troubadour back in 2009, though it's not like he has been completely off the ... Read the full article at http://www.prefixmag.com/media /knaan/nothing-to-lose-f-nas/6 0685/
