Video: Acid Girls - The Numbers Song

The Acid Girls are quickly becoming my new favorite DJ's out of LA since my beloved Guns'n'Bombs is now defunct. I don't really know what to call the genre, its an offshoot of drum & bass, maybe "dark acid" or "glitch funk", something that denotes that serious bass with somewhat sinister overtones. The video for their single "The Numbers Song" may not be exactly safe for the work, but its worth watching if you like semi-naked girls.

Directed by Taylor Cohen, the official video for Acid Girl's "The Numbers Game" is a voyeur's wet dream. Starring 4 gorgeous female housemates, the clip follows their candid movements via a multitude of apartment cams (bathroom, bedrooms, lounge room and even a pool-cam). While on first viewing it seems a conspicuous manifestation of the male gaze, upon review, this clever film clip delivers a lot more. Look closely and you'll find a lot going on in a bizarre tetragonal love affair which leads to homicide...twice! Check it our for yourself!
