Sonny Landreth was born on February 1, 1951. Landreth by most accounts is a slide guitar playing phenom. A home boy of mine, he is from southwest Louisiana. He was born in Canton, Mississippi, but soon after, his family moved to Jackson, Mississippi, before settling in Lafayette, Louisiana.
