I'm often skeptical about sons or daughters of famous musicians. It seems like they often ride the fame of their parents, but this is not the case with Justin Townes Earle. He crafts legitimate folk songs that benefit from being the son of Steve Earl, and all the drugs and depression that comes with it. Hey, we saw Justin Townes Earle (name must be written in full) a few months ago parading around the East Village with Jason Isbell (formerly of the Drive By Truckers.)
