Darlings, wouldn't you love to have a copy of the Bad Veins poster?!? I think I've got three to give away. (Actually I'm still waiting to see what it looks like, but I think it's gonna be cool!) Bad Veins is Benjamin Davis and Sebastien Schultz, birthed in 2006 back in Cincinnati, Ohio. The phenominal Bad Veins will be performing at this year's Forecastle Festival. Bad Veins have been making crazy waves since they came together in 2006, including USA Today calling them the best act at CMJ 2007 when they were up against the likes of Bon Iver, St. Vincent & others. Saturday's Daytrotter/Take the Handle/SnowGhost Music showcase at Brooklyn's Glasslands Gallery had two things going for it: Wye Oak was on the bill, and it was in the afternoon. Bad Veins opened for Enon on Friday (More on ENON later...) Bad Veins were loud and triumphant as usual. I'm biased but I think they deserve more attention. Chris? Matt? WTF? Here's their homemade music video for the single-worthy track, "Gold & Warm." They're releasing a 7" single on Dovecote Records this month.

If you are living on the East Coast and already know about BAD VEINS from Cincinnati, Ohio, then I salute you. I might be a tad late on this one . . . I blame my location.
