This past weekend, the always quality pop culture arm of the immensely popular Onion , The A.V. Club brought their expertise into the real world with the first annual A.V. Fest in Chicago, Ill. I'm on my way to Sweet Home Chicago for a weekend of Michigan football and meaningless Tigers baseball, so in honor of the state of Illinois, here's a underrated 1990s classic from one of Champbana's own, Hum.

Champaign, Illinois space rockers, Hum, crafted a brief yet influential career in the 90's by creating these dense space rock anthems. While they never really broke big during their careeer, they did manage to score one minor alternative rock hit with the single "Stars" from the album You'd Prefer An Astronaut.
