Back in the day, when this place was crawling with forums and chats about random acts of music, we used to poll ourselves. It's better than 2006's Light Grenades , but what does that really mean? I've always been a sucker for Incubus. Even after Light Grenades' horrific implosion of overzealous self-production, I gave the SoCal residents the benefit of the doubt, not only because they made four awesome albums in a row but because I also had this sneaking suspicion they knew they had failed. Alkaline Trio - Damnesia - Classic story here. These guys started indie, made a brilliant major label debut a few years ago that did nothing for them, then returned to an indie. They make consistently great RECORDS, which is truly a lost art in the days of the downloadable single. Don't expect a breakout year, just expect a fantastic live show and a solid new album. A little late on this, but Incubus has released a music video for the first single from their long awaited forthcoming album, "If Not Now, When?" What reminded me that this needed to go up is that the band just announced the dates for a North American tour beginning in August and ending in October. In anticipation for their long awaited 8th studio album, Los Angeles natives, Incubus  have announced they will once again head out across North America to tour from August- October.  The tour will kick off 8/17 at Red Rocks Amphitheater  in Colorado , where the band recorded their now-legendary "Alive at Red Rocks" CD/DVD in 2004.  From there they will head to 30 different US cities throughout September and end the tour with dates in Los Angeles (Hollywood Bowl) 10/7, Las Vegas 10/8, and San Francisco 10/9 .  I am beyond excited for this tour! It's been over a month since we've heard Incubus single Adolescents and the consensus around the Cafe is still the same. Adolescents falls short. Not calling it a bad track, but lyrically it leaves a lot to be desire. Incubus long awaited album will be hitting stores July 12th.

Incubus released the official music video for their first single off If Not Now, When? , "Adolescents". The song has grown on me and I am looking forward to hearing the full album. It apparently leaked already and people are giving it rather poor reviews, saying it was boring and the single was the best song. I hope that isn't the case. Either way, the band has so much good material from the past that their soon to be announced tour would still be newsworthy. If Not Now, When? will be in stores on July 12th. [...]

Incubus has finally officially came out of hibernation. They go black and white for the new video for "Adolescents." It's a taste of their new album, If Not Now, When which will be out June 12th. Watch the video below.

Incubus gets all serious in black and white with the video for their single, "Adolescents", from the upcoming album, If Not Now, When? The album is scheduled to drop on July 12, 2011, courtesy of Epic Records . Although that's a little ways out, we have it on good authority that there's been some drippage on the internets. In fact, our bestest buddies over at Antiquiet have already given the record quite a glowing review .

Music videos are meant to either portray a band doing what they do best in a performance setting or tell some outlandish story involving samurai swords or promiscuous cats .  In the case of the former, it's no doubt important to ensure the band look their best, which a halfway decent crew can do with some lighting tricks and steady camera work.  But in the case of the new video for "Adolescents", Incubus have a laissez-faire attitude in regards to the basics of cinematography.  Featuring blurry band members, awkward [...]

Incubus has been one of my favorite bands since I was handed a copy of the album S.C.I.E.N.C.E back around the time their mega hit "Drive" off of the follow-up album Make Yourself was released. What initially attracted me to the band was their alternative rock/funk/metal blend, which now has transcended more into just alternative rock.
