Justice's back on the scene - took them long enough, lazy Franco-bums. To accompany their latest EP, "Civilization", they released a vivid and beautifully rendered music video. While the song isn't their best release, this video blows the doors off of any previous one marked with the virtuous moniker. More of a stark account of an event than a narrative, we get to see the figurative collapse of civilization - plus a bunch of buffalo run around. A desert landscape with a strange gridded sky houses some of giant statues of icons from both western and eastern cultures. [...]

Justice's visual for their single "Civilization" flips a canyon upside down in a mind-blowing piece of animated cinematography that has to be seen to be believed. The civilization depicted in the video seems have been once populated with people but now remains home to a massive herd of buffaloes. As everything crumbles, from statues to the canyons themselves, the visual of a massive stampede of buffaloes is about as epic as it gets. “Civilization” came out last month after it originally appeared in the Romain Gavras-directed Adidas ad and now the video has appeared online. In a Progress Report, Gaspard Augé said, “With Justice, we always did music that could provide strong feelings or images, though we hate the word “cinematic” when it comes to music, because it sounds like ’90s trip-hop.
