Video: The Neighbourhood - Female Robbery

LA five-piece The Neighbourhood have announced a special one-off date for the venue that seems to like hosting special one-off dates, Birthdays in Dalston. The gig is next Tuesday, 25th September, and entry is free, just head here to sign up for the guestlist (although this doesn't guarantee entry, but it will give you priority). The band's I'm Sorry EP is out now, and the video for 'Female Robbery' (which is taken from that record) can be seen below.

Another California based act that deserves your attention ..... enter outfit The Neighbourhood who combine pop-rock melodies and has the interwebs buzzing over their material. Now we're not going to sit here and champion a brand new band already (you know how that goes) but this quintet has a huge upside. 'Female Robbery' has a dark laid-back vibe and is incredibly infectious.  I'm willing to bet these dudes are set for a breakout year.  Enjoy this little lovey below. The Neighbourhood (who are actually Californian) put on for the British big guitar band block with new track "Female Robbery". Sure, the track does have those epic guitar elements (and it certainly has a massive enough chorus) but they've been pushed way back in the mix in favor of loud, compressed syncopated drums and hip hop-esque use of vocal sampling.
