Video: Scattered Trees / Love and Leave

Somehow this ended up in my inbox, and it brought a smile to my face. Scattered Leaves produced a video for their track “Love and Leave” and it’s laden with Star Wars and Stormtroopers. It’s a pretty cool video, give it a watch. Song ain’t too bad either.

I already loved  Scattered Trees' single "Love and Leave" from when I first heard it a couple of months ago, but then they released a video featuring Storm Troopers, and my inner nerd rejoiced. I had to share. Scattered Trees release their new LP Sympathy on April 5th via Roll Call Records .

Back in November, we shared a song called "Love and Leave" by the band Scattered Trees. Despite the post being a few months old now, over the past two weeks or so it has been receiving quite a few hits, and quickly risen to claim the top spot of our "Popular Posts" list (this list can be found on the right hand side of the site). If you didn’t make it (or if you did) to Schubas for Scattered Trees on Thursday, this Watch post is for you. Scattered Trees fully encapsulate the loneliness and melancholia of what it is like to be a young storm trooper in love with his prisoner queen. The comments on the video are even better: “MADNESS. Stormtroopers aren't allowed lightsabers,” says YouTuber Emayesoen. Be that as it may, it’s fun to watch a great band dress up in costumers and have a little fun with what is a pretty heavy song otherwise.

Scattered Trees have a new album coming out in April called Sympathy with a sweet single Love and Leave. Saw this on Boing Boing (I didn't know they premiered videos, they get cooler and cooler!) about an hour ago. Their video for Love and Leaves got tons of Star Wards action all over it. I love Star Wars anything so these guys have won my heart. Guitarist of the band JM Harper directed this sweet little ditty. I wish there was a Darth Vader, my true love. Good job guys! [...]
