2012 was a surprisingly good year for music. Although no albums particularly struck me as a far and away Best Album as The Suburbs and MBDTF have in the past, the industry was deep with a bevy of solid albums. Every year around this time writers call for the death of Rock music, I'd like to point out a few great albums. Join me, won't you? If you haven't checked out the other Nosebleeders favorite albums check out Part I , II , III , IV . [...]

IT'S ALL A BUSINESS, FAVOR FOR FAVOR, SPONSORSHIPS, LIES. THESE ARE THE MOST OVERRATED BANDS OF 2K12. 11. Vancouver, BC duo Japandroids shook the walls at their midsummer Johnny Brenda's show and tonight they'll shake the walls of Union Transfer. Japandroids are touring in support of an album many consider to be one of the year's best (here, here and here). The punk rockers released Celebration Rock earlier this year and were subsequently named Band of ... Continue reading

Suggested NYC Concerts The Best Indie Shows Hand-picked Each Week Is it really already December? As the year begins to wind down, there are a ton of great bands in town playing shows across Brooklyn and Manhattan. Of all those shows, we're not surprisingly most excited about the one we're putting on at Knitting Factory in Williamsburg on Friday night . I started this blog 3 years ago, and to celebrate our birthday/anniversary, we decided it would be [...]
JAPANDROIDS, BLEACHED ( Wonder Ballroom , 128 NE Russell) Proving that rock 'n' roll will truly never die, Vancouver duo Japandroids deliver pure fireballs of fist-pumping energy. "Epic" is a sorely overused word these days, but make no mistake: Japandroids' life-affirming, explosive rock is fucking epic . Get there early for the marvelous Bleached, who are the kind of band you wish Best Coast had turned out to be. NED LANNAMANN [ Subscribe to the comments on this story ]

Canadian wunderkinds Japandroids are coming back to the City next Monday, continuing to ride the wave of their second full-length album, June's Celebration Rock . Just nine days after that album dropped, Brian King and David Prowse played a headlining gig at The Independent (capacity: 500), but now the duo returns to the mother of all San Francisco venues, the legendary Fillmore, and its 1,200 capacity – what a difference five months can make! The fine folks at The Fillmore were generous enough to give us one pair of of [...]
Canadian melt-your-face duo Japandroids are back in SF and we've got your free tickets to the show.
If you haven’t listened to Japandroids’ awesome new Celebration Rock (Polyvinyl) yet, MAGNET is very disappointed in you. You can start earning our forgiveness (which we’re sure you value highly) by checking out their new video for “The House That Heaven Built.” If you’re uninitiated in the two-piece's sound and style, this is a great example [...]
The Japandroids seem to tour for years in support of an album and they are back in NY at Webster Hall in December, which promises to be yet another insane show. And if you want to know what insane means, just check out the video below. I, as always, will be in the back away from the mosh pit.

I've been hearing the Japandroids name for a while now, but never gave them a listen. My mistake. After checking out this track from their new album Celebration Rock, I'm a fan. And from the visuals, their live show is a blast too. Don't sleep on these guys like I did. Shit rocks. They'll be in Philly on December 8th at Union Transfer. Die müsst ihr diese Woche gesehen und gehört haben. > Japandroids - live Get Well Soon - Roland I Feel You Es gibt wohl keinen Zweifel daran, dass Get Well Soons neuer Clip zum Song "Roland I Feel You", der beste Clip der Woche, ja vielleicht sogar der beste Clip des Jahres ist.
