Two years after a pair of impressive albums, the two-person bands  Beach House and Best Coast are back with follow-up releases. For Best Coast, the album, The Only Places , stretches out from the hazy sound on the band's 2010 debut Crazy for You . Singer Bethany Cosentino sings uptempo country-tinged songs on the slickly produced The Only Places . I have been on a 3 month long Beach House bender of sorts, which is why I haven't posted anything in quite some time. But alas, the band premiered a new song last week, so I'm coming out of (fake) retirement to show you this untitled song in all its glory. Fans of Beach House worry not... They haven't changed their sound too much here.

Dream pop advocates Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally a.k.a. Beach House premiered a new song when they played a gig in New York a while back, and than played it again whilst in Minehead, U.K. for the Animal Collective curated ATP Festival. And the parameters of the "experiment" continue to evolve. Beach House first debuted a name-less sonic study in effervescence at a show in New York . They subsequently brought back said cut for the Animal Collective-curated ATP Festival in May . Now, Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally have added some more layers to the number and unleashed it once more for their July 24th gig at the Portishead-curated All Tomorrow’s Parties event in London .
