"Octopus" leaked over the weekend and I totally missed it. Bloc Party put out the official video for the lead single off Four today. I'm sporting major wood after hearing this joint. Can't wait for the rest of the album.

Can you believe this? Block Party's new video is finally here! "Octopus" is the first song to be released from their forthcoming album entitled, available on July 11. The clip was directed by Nova Dando who previously worked on Kele's "What Did I Do?" The 13-track new LP entitled "Four" is expected a little later, on August 19 actually.

Well it's been a little while and to be honest I never thought we would get back to this point, but here we are. After a few years, quite a bit of public speculation, the eventual "breaking up" of the band and rumors of lead singer Kele Okereke focusing more on solo work, the reunion and announcement of a fourth album to now with a brand new single "Octopus" playing in our headphones. To say it's been tumultuous would be an understatement, but none of that matters now, because now we have some new Bloc Party to jam [...]

Bloc Party just couldn’t help themselves. After a debut record that was nothing less than invigorating, their ventures into nu-rave, electro, and doing some really weird things to Kele Okereke’s voice exposed a band eager to move forward, but unsure of what direction to take.
