Today Pitchfork premiered the video for "Cut The World," the title track off Antony and the Johnsons ' upcoming live symphonic album. Originally written for the theatre production "The Life And Death of Marina Abramovic," "Cut The World" now gets the music video treatment courtesy of director NABIL (Kanye West, Bon Iver, Frank Ocean). This morning, we woke up to this haunting video for the previously unreleased title track from Antony and the Johnsons' new live album, which drops tomorrow, and we have to admit, we were a little scared to come into the office afterwards. The song, originally written for The Life and Death of Marina Abramović , Antony Hegarty's operatic biography of the Serbian-born artist, is full of Hegarty's trademark lilting vocals and heartbreakingly beautiful chord progressions. The NABIL -directed video, which will screen on August 11 at the Southbank Centre in London as part of the  Meltdown Festival [...]

With Willem Dafoe and his female coworker staring out windows longingly and having awkward office conversation, you expect them to eventually just give in to their feelings and start making out over some orgasmic string music.
