Video: Passenger - Do What You Like - Out Now! (Released 2nd July)

Passenger is my Brit band du jour . There have been several this year, but this is the first one to match Ghosts in songcraft and production. They're from beachy Brighton and their sound is grounded in a soft, folksiness (is that a word?), but it's still very much pop. The extraordinary lead singer is a 22 year old named Mike Rosenberg . John tipped me about "Do What You like," an excellent new single by British band Passenger . The song is promoted as a "tale of unrequited love and regaining control and self respect." But what stands out to me more is its combination of twitching guitars, electronica-influenced stylings and Mike Rosenberg's idiosyncratic crooning.
