The October Bank Holiday weekend looks to be turning into one of the key points in the music calender, with a range of events happening across the country. Jack Colleran, aka Mmoths, is making easy work of climbing the musical ladder. The 18 year old got signed the day he received his exam results, he's being name-checked by Flying Lotus and sharing the stage with Aphex Twin and Zomby. I mean we've heard of fast-tracking but this is ridiculous. But when you hear the debut EP it's fairly obvious Jack has more than mastered electronics, ambience and writing dream-like loops that nestle somewhere deep inside your unconscious. Not so much a band as Jack Colleran, a solo producer from Ireland, but MMOTHS ( facebook / twitter ) has demonstrated his talents with song that shudders, wrapped around the glorious vocals of Keep Shelley In Athens . It's the first track taken from his upcoming debut EP that he's DIY releasing on March 5th, and he's just released the video from it showing kids enjoying the warmth of nature and each other.
