Video: Wye Oak: Take It In

What do you imagine when we say the word Dorset? Seaside city, popular for getaways, sleepy coastlines in places, that type of thing right? What you wouldn't expect is a festival, ever-growing in popularity and now in its third year as a fully fledged three day musical event.

"The Knot" is the second effort by Maryland duo Wye Oak . Heard them before on a split and thought that they were your run-of-the-mill indie/folk crossover. Yet "The Knot" has much in store both in the songwriting department as well as the sound. Comparisons to Yo La Tengo are made, but I'm not really familiar with their music so I can't affirm. It's a strong album which speaks to indierockers, crooners and shoegazers alike, Standout tracks Tattoo, Take it in, Mary is Mary, That I Do, hell it's such a strong album. [...]
