In my review of Girl Talk's 'Feed the Animals ' I mentioned that the album was the: " music album equivalent of late night music channel surfing. Who here doesn't love sample mashups? I know I find them yummy and Girl Talk is one of the people who's brought it to a state of art. Feed the Animals, his latest and fourth album is another record comprised exclusively out of samples from other people's music, with a few dashes of original GT instrumentation here and there. I've been waiting for someone to do this. Some enterprising soul with far too much time to kill has created several videos for Feed the Animals , in which (naturally) original clips made for the sampled tracks are synced to the audio and mashed together. I'll leave it to the Wikipedia contributors to see how many he's caught, and all the cuts certainly amplify the whiplash nature of the mix (you might want to keep a bottle of aspirin nearby), but there's something kinda fun [...]
