OK, so I’m really not a fan of Steve Aoki , I find his music mostly pretty tedious. Derivative and simplistic I have no idea how he got famous, it seems generally from ‘knowing people’ rather than ‘being good at music or DJing’. However, I flippin’ love Lovefoxx and thankfully Mr Aoki hasn’t made something completely terrible in ‘Heartbreaker’, their collaboration. EDM artist Steve Aoki Premiered " Heartbreaker " Music Video Featuring Lovefoxxx yesterday. He is being nominated for the 2012 EDM Effect Woodie at the upcoming MTVU Woodie Awards. He is also the MTV Push Artist Of The Week . Having begun his own record label, Dim Mak, by his early 20s, he then released records from acts like MSTRKRFT and Klaxons. Definitely a more reserved track from Steve Aoki than we are use to but still a interesting track.

Steve Aoki  enlists Brazilian singer Lovefoxxx, who you may know from Kavinsky 's "Nightcall," for this new video for "Heartbreaker." They take you back to the '70s, rollerskates and all, as Lovefoxxx runs around and breaks some hearts. Guess men are responsive to doe-eyed cuties who sing, "would you let me be your heartbreaker?" The CSS's mp3s have never matched the gene of their debut LP ones but the LOVEFOXX 's solo (or collaborative) ones seem to hit the disco nail on the skate, release after release. Latest one to add to your iPod is the STEVE AOKI produced HEARTBREAKER and the disco-skating video is pretty neat for your 11pm eyes.

There's not much to say except that it's Steve Aoki and he is nothing short of a God in the world of electro. "Heartbreaker" is the third video off of Steve Aoki's debut album, Wonderland . The album was released January 10, 2012 on his own label, Dim Mak Records . The video makes me want to rollerdisco really bad, but I would not look half as good as Lovefoxxx does on rollerskates. In this song Steve Aoki tried to explore the calm side of electronic music, and I can say he did it very well! So the song is not boring at all, it's catchy and a little bit funky-esque at the intro. And Lovefoxxx can sing in English very well, just check CSS's songs, but in this music they morphed her voice to create a special effect. Roller skating fans will love it! www.electrowow.net
