[Photo by Jeremy Krinsley ] Times are tough, really tough. Chances are at least one of the many misers (a.k.a friends/coworkers) you encounter in daily living is looking for some pure escapism, and what better way than through a fantastical noise adventure. Recession/winter misery - meet Brooklyn's Liturgy . Liturgy takes off in a way Justin Broaderick Godflesh -era would be proud of; loud, off-color, demented, yet surprisingly uplifting and emotional. The commanding combination of distorted vocals, weaving guitars and time-keeping loops and blast [...]
The BPA has released the official video for their single "He's Frank" featuring Iggy Pop... as a puppet! The puppetized punker gets to some punching toward the end of the video. Very entertaining. In addition to this there are 8, count 'em 8, remixes of the single available here. The BPA (Ft. Iggy Pop) - He's Frank (Live in Tokyo 1978) The BPA (Ft. Iggy Pop) - He's Frank (The Twelves Remix) The BPA (Ft. Iggy Pop) - He's [...]

The official video and remixes for He's Frank" are finally here and might I say all are fantastic! Be sure to check out the video (below) featuring a puppet version if the untamed Iggy Pop; It's brilliance! It's also great to hear a new remix from Layo & Bushwaka! and also The Twelves, who have been kicking out the jams lately. Don't miss out on these kids! Enjoy! The BPA ft. Iggy Pop – He's Frank (Layo & Bushwaka! Remix) [...]

Not since Genesis' 1986 video for Land of Confusion have I been so drawn to puppets singing me some tunes. Now, even though he's not naked and covered by censor bars, Iggy Pop (even whilst in puppet form) is such a badass that his handlers can't hold his jock! A new video in the intriguing catalog from Norman Cook and The BPA (whom we totes LOVE, mind you) has been released. The BPA featuring Iggy Pop visuals for He's Frank can be seen with [...]
The Brighton Port Authority return with He's Frank featuring none other than Iggy Pop... and he is wilder than ever, even his puppet kick the ass of those shadow guys;)

This is the 2nd post about The BPA's "He's Frank" track... but now I've got the full video and a grip of wicked remixes for you! I've got these in .wav right now and you better bet they're gonna be my indie dance crossover slam dunk when I'm DJing! Iggy Pop's voice is not one you forget, or ignore... Speaking of... I watched Trainspotting the other day and of course there's all that talk about Iggy Pop (and "Lust For Life" of course)... and it triggered memories of seeing him [...]
The BPA featuring Iggy Pop - "He's Frank" (Slight Return) (YouTube) Ah man, check out that crazy Iggy Pop puppet. Kinda amazing by itself... the fact that it's the centerpiece for a video is even better... even better that Norman Cook has a cameo at the end. The BPA is on a roll. New BPA video for "He's Frank (Slight Return)" Feat. Iggy Pop!
Earlier this week we got Coldplay as puppets , and today we get Iggy Pop as a puppet like the ones for Disney Broadway plays where a dude in black controls the puppet. Except instead of using that puppet technology to make Timon on stage possible, they use the Iggy Pop puppet to beat up the puppeteers, one of which turns out to be The BPA's Norman Cook (you may know him as Fatboy Slim). The Iggy puppet makes Iggy look like a caveman--which I suppose isn't too far off. The song's beat suits Iggy's gravelly vocals well, as [...]
A puppet Iggy Pop kicks ass on stage in the latest video from the BPA , aka the Brighton Port Authority, aka Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim. The videos from Cook's latest project have been entertaining so far-- " Seattle ", with Emma the Great, and especially " Toe Jam ", with David Byrne and Dizzee Rascal-- and the clip for "He's Frank (Slight Return)" obviously doesn't disappoint in the batshit department. A bass-heavy, Rolling Stones-y garage rock arrangement props up [...]
