Avey Tare Debuts New Tunes On Tour

Avey Tare - Slow Words - live in Oberlin
Avey Tare's out there touring his solo record Down There ; I recently caught his stop at Brooklyn's Knitting Factory with Black Dice's Eric Copeland opening and both of them backed up by a Yoda-masked skeleton wearing a sweet scarf. Memorable! Tare's taking the opportunity to, in typical Animal Collective fashion, work out new material. Watch fan vid of "Song For Jerome," "Sometimes," "In Photographs," and "Slow Worlds" below. Watch: Animal Collective’s Avey Tare plays four new songs

Watch: Animal Collective’s Avey Tare plays four new songs We had a chance to catch Animal Collective's Avey Tare on his solo tour last night in Los Angeles and we couldn't help but noticing that the majority of his set was comprised of new material. So, after scouring the internet, we found decent versions of four of the five new songs he played from various recent stops on his tour, titled "Song For Jerome," "In Photographs," "Slow Words," and an untitled track that people are calling "Sometimes." They are all interesting listens, with "Song For Jerome" and "Sometimes" being standouts for me. Enjoy. [...]
