Mazzy Star only saw brief success, but their sophomore album So Tonight That I Might See solidified them in pop music thanks to the out of nowhere hit song "Fade Into You." Led by guitarist David Roback and vocalist Hope Sandoval, the album's opener became their quintessential song, trapping listeners in a dense atmosphere with ear piercing slide guitar and melancholy lyrics.
