With so much identikit indie around, it's difficult to stand out from the crowd. Two Door Cinema Club certainly try, with their electro inflections amongst rhythmic beats, jangling guitars, buoyant melodies and general upbeat tone. Two Door Cinema Club has released a video for "Sleep Alone," lead single from the band's upcoming sophomore album, Beacon . The album is due next week (September 3 in the UK and September 4 in the US) via Kitsuné Music (UK) / Glassnote Records (US). The Northern Irish band recorded Beacon in L.A. with producer Jacknife Lee in his home studio. It's available for preorder in both standard and deluxe editions; the latter comes with a second disc of live recordings from a Two Door Cinema Club show earlier this year.
Two Door Cinema Club’s new album BEACON, which was recorded in Los Angeles with acclaimed producer Jacknife Lee (REM, Bloc Party), will be released on September 4th through Glassnote Records and September 8th on Kitsune in Europe. Two Door Cinema Club have released a video for their new single, “Sleep Alone”. The Irish band takes the humor route from the song, as frontman Alex Trimble has nightmares of guitars and trains chasing him and his bed through the forest. Not what was I was expecting, but very entertaining nonetheles s. While at first, we were not in love with this, we can happily report we’re now head over heels. The band’s much anticipated sophomore record, Beacon , will be out September 3rd via Kitsune/Glassnote. Pre-order it here .

Die müsst ihr diese Woche gehört und gesehen haben. The xx - Angels (Andrea-Remix) "Angels" und "Chained" heissen die ersten beiden Songs der neuen The xx-Platte, die bereits im Original vorliegen. Grosse Freudensprünge lösen beide nicht aus. Nun gibts aber von einem französischen Produzenten namens Andrea einen Remix inklusive Videoclip. Beides ziemlich gut herausgekommen sag ich mal.
