Mary Anne Hobbs is the voice largely responsible for breaking the UK dubstep scene to the world, as well as current electronic juggernauts Burial and Flying Lotus. She now has a primetime show on XFM and regularly broadcasts a sampling of the best underground electronic sounds across the globe. In this TED talk about passion, she tells the story of her rise from humble beginnings to becoming a global tastemaker. I'm sure she could go on for hours, but this quick 15 minute talk has tons of valuable insight on what drives the one of the world's elite DJs.
