Painfully romantic/nostalgic Kermit The Frog filters his proud emotions through LCD Soundsystems's ode to the big city "New York I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down". Thankfully James Murhpy is there at the end to tuck him under his arm and take him in.

Ok d'accordo l'idea non è per niente originale, il costo è praticamente zero e oramai i videoclip sono spesso più elaborati di veri i propri film e più avanguardistici di opere di videoarte. Però a me questo nuovo video di New York, I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down degli LCD Soundsystem piace parecchio. Il brano è una ballad per voce e piano che ha veramente poco a che vedere con il classico repertorio di James Murphy, ma è prima di tutto una dichiarazione di amore-odio alla Grande Mela. LCD Soundsystem ( Official Website ) has released their newest music video from 2007's incredible Sound of Silver LP (available now via EMI ) for "New York I Love You, But You're Bringing Me Down," with Kermit filling in for James Murphy. As humorous as it is, my stomach still lurches a bit everytime I see those photos of all of us with our cleavage. BLAARGH. This blog needs to clean its act up. This song always reminds me of Queen, and it was track 2 on one of my favourite mix cds that a friend made for me. Too bad there's no Beaker in it.

Kermit tried to tell us years ago that it's not easy being green. Back then he did it with a friendly little melody and some acoustic guitar. Now the message is getting a bit more aggressive, and he's bringing some famous friends along for the ride.
