The ATP site has announced that Deerhoof will play three Irish dates in July all of which are on sale this week. On Friday July 10th they play Whelan's, Dublin (€17), on Saturday July 11th they play Roisin Dubh, Galway (€15) and on Sunday July 12th they finish off with a show at The Pavilion, Cork (€17). Deerhoof-Fresh Born Après un mois de septembre que j'ai trouvé plus riche quantitativement que qualitativement, j'espère que ce mois d'octobre va redresser un peu la barre. Moins de disques sélectionnés que le mois dernier ce coup-ci donc, mais tout de même de quoi trouver son bonheur avec notamment un Department of Eagles que les plus impatients, ceux qui ont craqué sur le leak, annoncent comme l'album de l'année. Not too long ago, we mentioned Deerhoof 's clever marketing stunt in which they released their new single "Fresh Born" as sheet music, allowing fans to interpret the song on their own. The band recently introduced the studio recorded version of the track, along with a goofy video to go with it. My interpretation was way off, but this is pretty damn catchy.

New Deerhoof Video: 'Get Born' Those zany kids from Deerhoof just released their brand new video for "Get Born," taken from the forthcoming album Offend Maggie (dropping 10/7 on KRS) . The song is typical Deerhoof fare with interesting chord changes, guitar acrobatics and Satomi's 'Speak and Spell' vocal stylings. New Deerhoof Video - "Fresh Born" Before Satomi and Greg Saunier harmonized about phone calls and unrequited love on new title track " Offend Maggie " or (somehow) made like "Living After Midnight" in " The Tears And Music Of Love ," Deerhoof offered up sheet music for another Offend Maggie album track, "Fresh Born." Maybe you made your own version at home? Now you can hear what the band's take sounds (and looks) like. Don't be tricked out by the opening segment. Also: There's clearly a secret ingredient that wasn't stated on the sheet music.
