Hace pocos días y con motivo del Record Store Day el grupo estadounidense Animal Collective lanzó Transverse temporary gyrus , un nuevo trabajo en formato vinilo de 12 pulgadas. Transverse temporary gyrus incluye dos tracks que sirvieron para musicalizar la instalación que realizaron en 2010 en el Guggenheim Museum, y que pueden acompañarse con visuales y una aplicación descargable desde su sitio web , para lograr una experiencia a la altura del colectivo. Animal Collective 's Record Store Day 2012 release was a 12" vinyl titled Transverse Temporal Gyrus , which consisted of original tracks and live recordings made for the psychedelic outfit's March 2010 Guggenheim Museum installation and performance , which was created with the help of visual artist Danny Perez. Animal Collective’s Record Store Day exclusive 12” release isn’t quite brand new music, but it’ll likely be new to you if you don’t frequent New York’s Guggenheim Museum. The band and their frequent collaborator, the video artist Danny Perez , had an installation piece at the Guggenheim all the way back in March 2010 which featured visuals by Perez and audio by the band – the 12” takes its name from that piece, Transverse Temporal Gyrus , and is a collaged recording of music from the shows.
