I am deeply in love with Ani DiFranco. I applied to work at her label in Buffalo when I was still in high school, in Florida. I worked one of her shows a few years later, and her truck driver paid for my ticket to go to Disney World with the band. (I saw her in passing. I waved. I was shy.)
