Chan Marshall (AKA Cat Power) seems to have pulled herself out of the self-destruction that has destroyed some of the greatest musicians of her generation. At least we can hope so. Aside from her 2008 covers record Jukebox and her 2006 record The Greatest , Marshall has been remarkably silent. It's been far too long since we got a true Cat Power album - excluding Juxebox 's covers collection, it's been since 2006. The week's best news has probably come early, as Chan Marshall finally shared the details for her ninth LP. Titled Sun , the album will apaprently center around Marshall's break up with actor Giovanni Ribisi.
