But here at Altsounds it's an excuse for us to compile our favourite love songs and put together the Altsounds Valentine's Day playlist to get you all loved up and what not. We asked our staff to share their favourite love songs, and this is what we came up with. Staff member: Huw Hopkins Eric Clapton - Wonderful Tonight [...]
Well, pop music fans, it's that time again. Time to say goodbye to what's past and look ahead to something fresh. Maybe you plan to party like it's 1999, or maybe you're spending a cozy evening indoors away from the debauchery. If your answer is the latter, thank your lucky (pop) stars that performers like Nicki Minaj, Drake, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, and Jessie J are painting the town to ensure those of us sitting home when the ball drops still have a magnificent time. You likely have seen the viral video of Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt [...]
Zooey Deschanel is adorable, especially with that ukelele. Enjoy this video and have a great New Years! Lesgo 2012! -LaJack
New Year's Eve is a particular holiday; decidedly more romantic than Christmas, less contrived than Valentine's Day, and acceptably alcoholic, it's much like a collective birthday for everyone. Equal parts wistful for the passing year and hopeful in the promise of what's to come, there's nothing really quite like the excitement and warmth surrounding the figurative ball-drop. So what nicer way to ring it in than with the fictional couple behind 500 Days of Summer , arguably one of the best romcoms of the past decade, to leave you feeling warm and fuzzy just in time for your night. [...]

Indie Babe of the Week FOr our final IBotW of 2011, we present one of our all time favorite leaders of this type of woman, in the incomparable Zooey Deschanel . She hooked up with her good bud JGL, and played a cover of Harry Connick Jr’s holiday themed, “What are You Doing New Year’s Eve?” As i know with my fellow 500 Days of Summer supporter out there, it looks like Tom is still in love with Summer. Zooey Deschanel [ Twitter ] + Joseph Gordon-Levitt [ Twitter ] Saw this in my facebook feed earlier today and gave it a spin. To my surprise Mr. Joseph Gordon-Levitt can actually hold a tune. I wonder if Zooey is going to do some sort of musical song for the next episode of The New Girl. Read on to hear the original track by Nancy Wilson... Nativity
