With over 20 years of classic songs under their belts, the Scottish rock stars known as the Trashcan Sinatras are showing no signs of slowing down, here talking to PopMatters about label deals gone bad, the anything-goes setlists of their live shows, and the delightful tale of how they got Carly Simon to sing on their latest disc ... After being in the music business for over two decades, it's safe to say that the Scotland-based rock band Trashcan Sinatras are no longer concerned with becoming a household name, especially in the States. No matter. They have pressed on [...]

One of the best examples of the Scot/pop sound comes from one of the longest running and least heralded names: Trashcan Sinatras , a band that has delivered only four studio albums in nearly 20 years, but [...]
Trashcan Sinatras. I haven't posted this second video from "In The Music" (I bought the CD at the live show). I like all the smiles in this video, it's a nice change from so many serious things. Not sure I like Frank's hat... I mean, he's not bald or balding badly, so why the lame hat? Sunglasses are passable, as I am sure they are corrective lenses. I watched a bunch of serious things tonight, and, in the end, my eyes hurt. Morrissey, Travis, Xymox, The Cure, Anneli Drekker, Peter Murphy, Killing Joke, Human Drama... all evoke a certain something. [...]

The Trashcans released a video for People from their new album In The Music . We've got to say that over time the album has really grown on us. People is one of the catchier tracks and a song that we were instantly drawn to in the first few listens. Hear for yourself:
