After Groovin The Moo in Townsville wrapped up, it was time to head down to Flinders Social for an intimate club experience with ALISON WONDERLAND and DZ DEATHRAYS . This was an amazing evening and the audience consisted of a lot of other big names who played at the festival. Probably the nicest guy in the Australian music industry, Vincent from MIDNIGHT JUGGERNAUTS was seen up the front of the dance floor busting a move, FLUME was happily chatting to excited punters, while [...]
Admittedly, I haven't been paying much attention to Arcade Fire for a long time, because last time I listened to them in 2006, the only reasonable song of theirs was "Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)." Yet, even that song is kind of boring. Not into the whole "Modest Mouse" pitchy voice thing either. In 2006 when "Tunnels" was released, we knew two people who talked about how awesome the band was. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, always, but those same two people also enjoyed bands like Rascal Flatts, Pete Yorn and Lifehouse, which pretty much speaks for itself. [...]
Rihanna - You the one Ve l'ho detto che da due settimane sento solo Talk That Talk di Rihanna? No?

Arcade Fire has become one of the biggest bands around, since their Grammy win for Best Album earlier this year for The Suburbs . They released a new video, "Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)" which features only Regine Chassagne from the band. There's also an interactive version of the video here ... didn't work so well for me but try your hand at it anyway.
Tweet vaso link This video has been making the rounds lately for Arcade Fire's "Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)." It features Régine Chassagne and various faceless others, dancing exuberantly throughout the suburbs.
Arcade Fire continually steps up their video presentations. This time around it's for my favorite song off of The Suburbs album, "Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)". Watching... Read the rest on Speakerboxxx.com

Well finals are finally over with, which means I've officially made it to my last semester as an undergraduate. I prefer not to think about the consequences of that just yet, but either way it also means that I'm on my way back to Philly tomorrow for a few weeks of R and R with the New Philadelphia crew. I'm already starting to get excited for their new years party with Trouble & Bass residents Samo Sound Boy and The Captain, if you're in the area this is one NYE party you can't miss. [...]
Dear friends, This song was inspired by the book Mountains Beyond Mountains ... If you haven't read it yet you can pick it up here , or at your local bookstore. Or if you would like to give to Partners in Health - the organization the book talks about - you can go here . Love, Arcade Fire ox

I've posted a remix of this song, but it's only now that the best song from The Suburbs by Arcade Fire has finally been released as a stand-alone single. As you hopefully already know, "Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)" is a gorgeous, synth-spiked banger that sounds a bit like "Heart of Glass" with some added rock muscle. The clip isn't exactly essential, but who cares? I'm just glad that one of the best tunes from 2010 finally has a video (even if it is about a year late). [...]

Oooooooh goodness golly. And right after we did the year's best music videos too. But that's okay, because ever since (you and) I saw Régine Chassagne perform "Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)" on SNL, the song went just a bit closer to being the the most adorable and magical on the Arcade Fire's 2010 Grammy [...]
Arcade Fire have a new video for 'Sprawl II'. They had to live up to the one for 'We Used to Wait'; if you recall, it allowed you an interactive peek into the town you grew up in (read more about it on this previous Video of the Moment post from nearly a year and a half ago). The YouTube one is quirky as you would expect from the Grammy Award-winning Canadian band (watch it below), but they've done another interactive video that has to be seen - and played around with - [...]

Arcade Fire 's new single " Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) " is receiving both the traditional and interactive music video treatment. With a dedicated site designed for interaction and a video designed for web distribution, it's well thought out but the muted movement choices make it an underwhelming experience. Arcade Fire are known for their innovative web projects and Arcade Fire Presents Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) is no exception. The site or interactive app requires one to activate one's webcam and move [...]
