Wild Beasts are touring in support of their album Smother on Domino . This is technically their first proper tour and had some sold out concerts. The band decided to release this track called "Thankless Thing" for free. The song is a b-side of "Reach A Bit Further," which is from Smother . Via the Guardian: this weird, pared back version of  Yoü And I, as remixed by Wild Beasts. The only thing missing from this would be an extra vocal by Hayden Thorpe. No video, unfortunately, because presumably the awesome would cause the internet to asplode.

Yeah, I wasn't really feeling most of the singles on Lady Gaga's new album Born This Way. Not that I dislike Madonna. But Madonna already exists and did was she did over two decades ago. But this remix Wild Beasts did for Gaga's track "You And I" wasn't so bad. I saw it popping all over the internet this morning and give it a quick listen. Get over the earthquake for a minute and give this beautiful airy remix of Lady Gaga's 'Yoü And I' a listen. The UK's Wild Beasts chops up Gaga's current single and transforms it into a beautiful ambient piece.

Lady Gaga's new single from Born This Way is found towards the end of the album, in the emotional conclusion. For her single release she has gone and got none other than England's finest, Wild Beasts, to do a remix. The remix does away with a lot of the layers such as the the autotuned backing vocals and guitars and hones in on the emotional core: the piano and vocals, while adding a few more textural electronics. Having not paid much attention to the original Ga Ga version we can’t pass too much comment, but we can imagine this moody reimaging is a much needed departure.
