Tame Impala drops a new track from its forthcoming album, Lonerism , which is looking at an October 9th release in the US right now via Modular People . The Australian band's throwback sound feels incredibly punchy on this new track titled "Elephant." The guitars keep a steady, rock hard groove with some fuzzy distortion on 'em. The drums sound fantastic, and make it impossible to sit still during this 3-minute piece of vintage stoner rock bliss. Another new Tame Impala song has been released and with each new release I get more excited about this album. This is the best song I have heard from the new album so far. Lonerism is due out October 9th.

Today we get to enjoy the lead single from Tame Impala 's new album, Lonerism , which is due out on October 9th via Modular. Titled "Elephant" it follows up the track we got to enjoy called " Apocalypse Dreams " a few weeks ago. Check it out below.

Another new track from Tame Impala off of the upcoming  Lonerism . Within the first minute of "Elephant" I could already tell I was gonna like this one better than "Apocalypse Dream" - which was also a pretty good track...however, the fuzzy chug-a-beat that romps through this cut is both a retro wink and a modern head nodder and I just can't get enough. "Elephant" seems more catchy on all fronts. I guess that's why it's the first true single off of  Lonerism . Stream and enjoy it below.

Tame Impala 's upcoming album Lonerism is shaping up to be something unique and entertaining. We already heard the amazing first single called " Apocalypse Dreams " and later yesterday they released another one called "Elephant."
